Products - Dog Harnesses Long

Faster Harness by Zero DC
NZ$105.00

This harness offers maximum comfort for your dog. A great choice of harness for bikejoring, scootering, canicross, sledding or dry-land racing.
This harness lies close to the body distributing the pulling force on the chest and shoulders of the dog without restricting movement of the legs, lung capacity or the upward coiling movement of the back when the dog is running. It allows the dog to have free, unimpeded movement of the back and the legs.

The open back design doesn't inhibit spine movement allowing more energy to be directed moving forward. This makes it a great choice of harness for dogs who “bound” when they run.

The wide straps provide lateral support and prevent the harness from twisting, which prevents harness rub.

Strong, tailored shoulder and chest plates, made of water repellent, quick dry material with hi-viz reflective strips on all sides of the harness. The harness is lined and lightweight.

Zero DC harnesses are very popular in Europe, manufactured in Czech Republic by people who compete in both winter and summer dog sports and therefore understand the needs of a performance sports dog harness.

If your dog does not fit in the standard sizing measurement range, this harness can be custom made to any size for no extra cost - please note the delivery time for custom made sizes is approx 6-8 weeks.

To find the right size you will need to measure (see photo nr3):
2. Neck – where the collar would normally lie on your dog
2. Chest – measure the broadest part behind front legs

FITTING THE HARNESS:
1. Begin by adjusting the back length by simply using the metal buckles to move the blue loop to the base of the dog’s tail.

2. Next, adjust the part of the harness on the dog’s chest by adjusting the straps on the sides of the harness. The straps should be loose when the dog is resting and there should only be tension on the elastic straps when the dog is pulling.

3. Rinse the harness occasionally to extend its lifespan

Nansen Nome X-Back by Non-Stop Dogwear
NZ$80.00

The Nansen Nome Harness is of exceptional quality. The harness has ample padding, making it comfortable for the dog to pull in. A wide chest plate provides a good fit for the dog, ensuring the optimal use of power during pulling. The rear piece is unique in the way that it automatically balances the pull point for dogs who work diagonally. A reflective band makes the harness visible in the dark.

The harness is optimal for pull when used in combination with a low pull point. Some of the best dog mushers in the world rely on our Nansen Nome harness for their dogs.

A great harness for any sleddog sport and for teams.
